Thursday, April 17 (Day 1)
- Departure from the USA.
- Fly overnight to Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Friday, April 18 (Day 2)
- After clearing Customs and claiming your luggage, travel by reserved shuttle service to the hotel. Settle into lovely rooms and then meet in the hotel courtyard for afternoon activities.
- The Welcome Lunch will be in a quaint café in the hotel quartier (neighborhood).
- The afternoon walking tour visits picturesque Luxembourg Gardens, one of the Parisians’ most beloved gardens/parks. Return to hotel for relaxing and rest before a very enjoyable Paris evening.

Saturday, April 19 (Day 3)
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Morning Paris du Jour private guided tour explores the treasures of the Louvre.
- Opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch in the gorgeous tearoom of the late 19th century mansion, Jacquemart-Andre.
- Afternoon free to enjoy beautiful Paris.
- Dinner Cruise on the Seine. Paris is known as the ‘City of Light’! Enjoy delicious cuisine, wine and delightful musicaboard Bateaux Parisiens and glide under the beautifullylighted bridges of the river Seine.

Sunday, April 20 (Day 4)
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Morning visit to the gorgeous gold dome church of LesInvalides. The landmark dome of the Paris skyline is the final resting place of Napoléon. An audio guide provides interesting information for the visit to this architectural masterpiece.
- Visit the Sunday market, a lively place where stalls of fresh vegetables and fruits are meticulously arranged like a colorful painting. Enjoy the market with the Parisians and select meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, wines and of course, pastries for the picnic lunch in the Champ de Mars – the park of the Eiffel Tower. Afternoon free to explore Paris and perhaps enjoy some shopping or other Paris treasures. Sunday afternoon offers many concerts in beautiful Paris churches,or perhaps a visit to the Musee d’Orsay.

Monday, April 21 (Day 5)
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Private guided tour of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
- Learn to prepare a special menu at our private cooking class and enjoy a delicious lunch afterwards. Sample wonderful French wine and feast on delectable creations in the private home of our Paris hostess.
- Dinner and evening at leisure.

Tuesday, April 22 (Day 6)
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Travel by train along the banks of the Seine to Vernon, situated in the beautiful region of Normandy. Visit Monet’s home and garden in Giverny and experience the breath-taking jardin designed by Monet himself. The Japanese Bridge and water lilies – made famous in several Monet paintings – will draw each camera’s eye. Enjoy lunch in a quaint café near the garden home before the visit.
- Following the visit to Giverny, return to Vernon by tour bus to catch the train to Val de Reuil.
- Experience French hospitality at its very best! Spend the evening with a Normandy couple. Enjoy dinner, fine wine and great company in their lovely country estate.
Following dinner, learn the history of La Chasse – ‘the chase’ – and the customs and traditional music involved in the sport of hunting.At the end of this very memorable day, spend the night along the banks of the Seine at the charming Hotel dela Tour in the village of Pont de l’Arche.

Wednesday, April 23 (Day 7)
- Travel to Rouen by train. Upon arrival meet the guide for a private walking tour of this city which has over 2,000 years of history. Walk the ancient streets and tiny rues of the Old Quarter.Hear the history of the Cathedral of Rouen – made famous by Monet’s paintings at various times of dayand in different seasons.
Learn about the 100 Years War and see the execution pillar where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431.Also, see one of the oldest clocks in the world sitting high above the cobblestone streets, upon which the citizens of Rouen haverelied for centuries.
- Time for shopping and a delicious lunch before our return train to Paris.

- Breakfast at hotel.
- Shuttle transport from the hotel to the airport for your flight to the USA.
- Departure from Paris.

Expenses Included in the Tour Price
- All admission, tour and travel costs associated with planned group activities outlined in the Tour itinerary.
- Hotel accommodation for six nights.
- Round-trip shuttle service between the Paris airport and hotel.
- A carnet (book) of 10 Métro tickets. Once used, additional Métro tickets must be purchased by the client.
- Several meals throughout the Tour are included and are bolded in the Tour itinerary. A simple initial at the end of each day’s schedule also indicates which meal(s) is included on that day (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner). No other meals or beverages are included in the Tour price.
Expenses Not Included in the Tour Price
- All tours, rentals, concerts, transportation and any other activities not specifically planned for the Paris du Jour group.
- Airfare, associated taxes and airport fees.
Important Notes
- The best way to visit Paris is on foot. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes as there is a great deal of walking. Please carefully review the Tour itinerary to determine if the planned daily activities are a good personal fit.
- Many clients add an extra day(s) to their vacation in order to pursue their own personal Paris agenda. To avoid having to change hotels after the Paris du Jour Tour’s conclusion, all additional hotel bookings must be done at the time of the Tour reservation. All costs associated with extra hotel nights must be paid directly to the hotel at checkout.
