July 8 Tuesday Day 1
Departure Day from the US
Fly overnight to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
July 9 Wednesday Day 2
Arrival Day in Paris
•After clearing customs and claiming your luggage, you will travel by reserved shuttle service to the hotel. You will receive a meeting time to gather at the hotel for our afternoon activities.
•Welcome Lunch will be in a quaint café in the hotel quartier (neighborhood).
•Afternoon walking tour to picturesque Luxembourg Gardens, the largest public park garden in Paris. Time to settle in and rest at the hotel before a very enjoyable Paris evening.

•Visit Notre Dame Cathedral

We will enjoy a delicious lunch and learn to prepare a special menu. Sample wonderful French wine and feast on delectable creations!

July 11 Friday Day 4
•Breakfast at hotel
•Full day trip to Versailles. Travel by commuter train to the town of Versailles and walk to the Chateau Versailles. Stunning architecture, magnificent gardens, the Grand Canal, the Hall of Mirrors and gorgeous works of art were designed to convey the power and majesty of the French Monarchy. Explore the many rooms of the grand chateau using an audio guide commentary. We won’t want to miss any details of this glorious palace.
Following the chateau tour, we will visit the Hameau, the petite village created by Marie Antoinette for her own private hideaway to escape from the pressures of court life. We will enjoy the same lush forests that the kings of France used for centuries as their private hunting grounds.
We will return to the town of Versailles for our train to Paris.
This day involves lots of walking. Please wear comfortable shoes and know that we will be on the go for the entire day.

July 12 Saturday Day 5
•Breakfast in hotel
•We will visit the Saturday market, a lively place where stalls of fresh vegetables and fruits are meticulously arranged like a colorful painting. Enjoy the market with the Parisians and select meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, wines and … of course, pastries for our picnic lunch in the Champ de Mars, the park of the Eiffel Tower.
•Afternoon free to explore Paris and perhaps enjoy some shopping or other Paris treasures
•Saturday Evening in Paris -Wine Tasting
Enjoy 7 French wines and learn the fine points of appreciating your verre de vin! O Chateau offers info on the regions of France and the specific wines produced in each region, as well as how to serve your wine of choice properly. Learn suggestions for food pairing for your next soiree! A two hour presentation.
•Evening free following the wine tasting. Consider a concert in one of many Paris churches or walk along the Champs- Elysees or take a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower !

July 13 Sunday Day 6

•Giverny, Monet’s Gardens and Home
•Travel by train along the banks of the Seine to Vernon situated in the beautiful region of Normandy. We will travel to Giverny to visit Monet’s gardens and home—full day trip. We will experience the breath-taking garden designed by Monet himself. The Japanese Bridge made famous in many Monet paintings beckons us to spend time in the magical garden before we tour the interior of Monet’s home. Enjoy lunch in a quaint café near the garden home.

Expenses Included in the Tour Price
- All admission, tour and travel costs associated with planned group activities outlined in the Tour itinerary.
- Hotel accommodation for six nights.
- Round-trip shuttle service between the Paris airport and hotel.
- A carnet (book) of 10 Métro tickets. Once used, additional Métro tickets must be purchased by the client.
- Several meals throughout the Tour are included and are bolded in the Tour itinerary. A simple initial at the end of each day’s schedule also indicates which meal(s) is included on that day (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner). No other meals or beverages are included in the Tour price.
Expenses Not Included in the Tour Price
- All tours, rentals, concerts, transportation and any other activities not specifically planned for the Paris du Jour group.
- Airfare, associated taxes and airport fees.
Important Notes
- The best way to visit Paris is on foot. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes as there is a great deal of walking. Please carefully review the Tour itinerary to determine if the planned daily activities are a good personal fit.
- Many clients add an extra day(s) to their vacation in order to pursue their own personal Paris agenda. To avoid having to change hotels after the Paris du Jour Tour’s conclusion, all additional hotel bookings must be done at the time of the Tour reservation. All costs associated with extra hotel nights must be paid directly to the hotel at checkout.
