| FAQs
What
does Paris du Jour mean exactly?
Everyone has ordered salad du jour or soup du jour, which is the featured
salad or soup of the day. Paris du Jour features a unique travel experience
each day for your Paris visit. Whether it is a cooking class for delicious
French hors d'oeuvres or a walking tour of Montmartre or lunch in a
gorgeous 1850's mansion tearoom, each day promises a unique experience
for our guests.
Will I have any free time or will we stay together for 7 days...Yikes?
Because every trip is carefully planned, a special activity will be
enjoyed by the group each day. However, our guests will have time to
shop or walk along the Seine or just relax in a café in a beautiful
park along with the Parisians.
What happens if I get lost?
Our
guests are always encouraged to get "lost" as every street
hides something new. If you are truly lost, you can go into any Métro
station and check out the large wall maps to get your bearings.
Just
follow the line from that Métro station back to your hotel Métro
stop. And voila! You're home in no time. View the Paris
Metro map.
I don't speak French. Will I be the "Ugly American"?
Like folks in any country, the French appreciate a visitor attempting
basic greetings in the local language. A simple smile offered with a
friendly bonjour or a polite merci will always be welcomed. And don't
forget to say "please" - just like mom always said - only
on this trip it will be s'il vous plait.
Can I use my airline miles to purchase travel?
Absolutely.
Paris du Jour does not include airfare in the travel package, and many
guests prefer to use travel miles.
Why are some Paris du Jour trips designed for women?
We love our men, but let's admit it - there's nothing like a girl
trip to rejuvenate the soul of a "Venus". So invite your best
friend or your sister or daughter to escape to Paris with you!
Are partial refunds available if I choose not to participate
in the group activity planned each day?
Unfortunately, once arrangements are reserved with vendors or tour
operators, we cannot refund any portion of the tour price for non-participation
in a planned activity.
How
many persons can reserve a place for a Paris du Jour trip?
There is a maximum of eight guests per trip (including the tour coordinator).
Paris du Jour is not a bus tour or large package tour. Instead our select
activities and personal attention require small groups.
Suppose I have to cancel my travel plans? How much money will
I lose?
Contract stipulations require a deposit at the time of booking.
Full payment is required 60 days before your travel date. It is always
recommended to purchase travel insurance for any travel plans to protect
you in the case of unexpected circumstances that cause you to cancel
your trip. You may purchase travel insurance on various websites, such as TravelGuard.com and InsureMyTrip.com.
